Boobie Ike in GTA 6: the Vice City club owner and Only Raw Records boss

Boobie Ike runs real estate, the Jack of Hearts club and a record label in GTA 6. His official bio, his ties to Dre'Quan and what the showcase revealed

Boobie Ike is the closest thing Grand Theft Auto VI has shown to a Vice City institution. Rockstar's own profile calls him a local legend who behaves like one, and describes him as one of the few people to convert time on the streets into something that stands up in daylight.1

What the official site says about him

The Only in Leonida bio credits him with an empire covering real estate, a strip club and a recording studio, and warns that the good humour stops the moment business starts. The teaser line Rockstar attaches to him is a card reference, the Jack of Hearts, which is the name the community has since attached to his club. The bio's real point, though, is his partnership with the younger music entrepreneur Dre'Quan Priest in Only Raw Records: Rockstar says that is the venture he is most invested in, and that what the label lacks is a hit.1

GamesRadar's reading of the same material is that the legitimate businesses are financed by the drug trade and that Boobie's interest in Dre'Quan is not purely paternal, since Dre'Quan came up performing at and booking acts into Boobie's club. That is interpretation rather than Rockstar's own wording, but it follows directly from the bios.41

A second card on the official character page removes any doubt about where the money comes from. In Boobie's own voice, Rockstar has him say the club's earnings cover the studio and the drug money covers everything else, which turns GamesRadar's inference into a fact stated by the character himself. It is the most direct confirmation on the entire Only in Leonida page that a legitimate-looking business is actually running on drug profits.1

The Jack of Hearts

The strip club itself has appeared in both trailers, complete with dancers, crowds and airborne cash, and community wikis identify it as the Jack of Hearts, sited in the Crosstown area of Vice City and owned by Boobie. Rockstar has confirmed the card phrase and the existence of a strip club in his portfolio, but has not published a location or said whether the venue can be entered, worked at or owned in the game.381

Relationships and rivalries

Boobie sits at the centre of two separate webs Rockstar has confirmed. On the criminal side, he is the fixer who sets Jason and Lucia's opening job in motion and, per community coverage of the showcase, is supplied by the drug lab Raymond runs for the San4San gang. On the legitimate side, he is Dre'Quan Priest's older partner and financial backer in Only Raw Records, the label that has signed Real Dimez. No official material connects him directly to Brian Heder, Raul Bautista or Cal Hampton, which keeps his network geographically distinct: the Keys crew around Jason on one side, the Vice City club and music scene on the other, with Jason and Lucia as the thread running between both once the story gets moving.175

Timeline of appearances

  • May 6, 2025: Boobie is introduced on the Only in Leonida page and appears in Trailer 2's Vice City nightlife footage.13
  • August 27, 2026: the Extended Look opens on a job run in his name, though he is not shown on screen; his club and label are referenced but not visited.56
  • Ongoing: community trackers continue to treat him as one of the characters Rockstar is deliberately holding back for the marketing still to come before launch.6

What the Extended Look showed

Boobie's presence in the August 27, 2026 showcase is a good example of Rockstar keeping a character in reserve. He is not shown, but he is the reason the whole thing starts: Gulf News describes the opening mission as Jason and Lucia running an errand for the Vice City fixer Ike, sent to find a man named Raymond in a rundown apartment block. Fan trackers watching the same footage noted his name being spoken repeatedly in the opening while he stayed off camera, and read it as evidence that he is the figure handing the protagonists work at the start of the story.562

Community coverage of the showcase goes further and links Boobie to the Haitian street gang San4San, claiming the drug operation run by Raymond supplies his club. That connection has not been stated by Rockstar and is marked as unconfirmed here.7

Comparison with the series' past music-scene characters

Grand Theft Auto has run a music-industry subplot before. San Andreas gave CJ a run-in with the terrible rapper OG Loc, a character built around chasing fame the character had no talent for, and the joke stayed mostly self-contained. Boobie and Dre'Quan look built for something with more weight: Boobie already has the money and the venue, Only Raw Records already has a signed act in Real Dimez, and the stated goal, landing an actual hit, gives the subplot a clear pass or fail condition rather than an ongoing gag. It reads as a more grounded, business-driven version of the same idea.91

Community theories

Because Boobie funds his empire with drug money and controls the club at the centre of the Only Raw Records deal, some fan discussion casts him as a likely late-game obstacle rather than a steady ally, on the theory that any Rockstar character this openly compromised eventually turns on the protagonists for money or leverage. That reading fits the tone of his bio, but it is audience inference, not anything Rockstar has previewed about his arc.41

What is still unknown

No voice actor has been announced. Rockstar has not said how large Boobie's role is, whether he is an ally, an employer or eventually an antagonist, where in Vice City his properties sit, or whether the record label becomes a business the player runs. The bio's line about needing a hit reads like the setup for a story arc around Only Raw Records, but Rockstar has not described a single mission involving him.1

Not yet confirmed: Boobie Ike's voice actor, the location and playability of his club, and whether Only Raw Records becomes a player-run business.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Boobie Ike in GTA 6?

He is a Vice City businessman with roots in the streets who now owns real estate, a strip club and a recording studio, and co-runs the Only Raw Records label with Dre'Quan Priest.1

Does Boobie Ike own the Jack of Hearts?

Rockstar's bio uses the Jack of Hearts phrase for him and confirms he owns a strip club; community wikis name the venue the Jack of Hearts and place it in Vice City.18

Is Boobie Ike in the GTA 6 Extended Look?

He is named several times as the man giving Jason and Lucia the opening job, but he is not shown on screen in the showcase.56

Does Boobie Ike really launder drug money through his club?

Yes, by his own words. A second bio card on Rockstar's site has him say the club pays for the studio and the drug money pays for everything, which confirms the businesses are drug-funded rather than fully legitimate.1

Is Boobie Ike based on a past GTA music character like OG Loc?

Not directly, but GTA has told a similar story before. San Andreas had OG Loc chasing a hit record; Boobie and Dre'Quan's Only Raw Records plot looks like a more business-focused take on the same idea.9
