How this map is made. Rockstar has never released the GTA 6 map, and the maps circulating elsewhere are rebuilt from the 2022 breach and the August 2026 dev-build leak. We use neither. Leonida is Rockstar's Florida, so we render the real peninsula from public-domain geographic data and place each confirmed location at the real-world place its area is reported to draw on. Positions are therefore approximate. Every marker links to a page that lists its sources, and we will redraw this against the official map the day Rockstar publishes one.

What Rockstar has actually confirmed about the map

Grand Theft Auto VI is set in the state of Leonida, a fictional take on Florida, and Rockstar has named six areas on its own site: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park. Beyond those names and the places visible in the trailers, the official screenshots and the 26-minute Extended Look, nothing about the layout has been published. There is no official map image and no official size.

How the map itself is drawn

Leonida is Rockstar's Florida, so the base of this map is the real peninsula: its coastline, inland lakes, highway network and urban footprints, all rendered from public-domain geographic data (Natural Earth, released CC0) and styled by us. Nothing here is traced from Rockstar artwork. Switch on the "Real Florida places" layer to see the actual towns and cities underneath, which is the fastest way to understand how Rockstar's version maps onto the real state.

Why our markers are approximate

Because there is no official map, exact coordinates do not exist in any legitimate source. The maps circulating elsewhere are rebuilt from material taken in the 2022 breach and the August 2026 dev-build leak, both of which Take-Two has issued takedown requests over. We do not use them. Instead each marker sits at the real-world place its area is reported to draw on: Vice City at Miami, the Keys at Marathon, Ambrosia in the sugar country around Clewiston, Port Gellhorn at Panama City. The panel tells you which real place a marker is anchored to. When Rockstar publishes the real map, we redraw this one against it and update every page.

What each marker gives you

Tap any marker for a summary, the real-world place it appears to be based on, the secrets and easter eggs spotted there, and a link to the full page. Those pages run to around a thousand words each and end with a numbered source list, so you can check every claim yourself.
