Real Dimez in GTA 6: who are Bae-Luxe and Roxy?

Real Dimez are GTA 6's viral rap duo, Bae-Luxe and Roxy. Their official bio, the DWNPLY hit, the Only Raw Records deal and what is still unknown

Real Dimez is the rap duo of Bae-Luxe and Roxy, and they are the only characters Rockstar has introduced in Grand Theft Auto VI as a pair rather than individually. Their profile went up on the official site with Trailer 2 on May 6, 2025.13

What the official site says about them

Rockstar says the two have been friends since high school and that they had the sense to convert what they were already doing, shaking down local dealers, into money through explicit rap tracks and a relentless social media operation. The tagline the site gives them is about viral videos and viral hooks, which is the clearest signal of how their storyline is meant to read: they are a product of the feed as much as of the street.1

Two concrete facts sit in that bio. First, an early single with a local rapper named DWNPLY took them to a new level. Second, five years and a considerable amount of trouble have passed since then, and they are now signed to Only Raw Records hoping to repeat it. That signing is the same event Rockstar uses to advance Dre'Quan Priest's story, so the duo and the label are two halves of one plot.1

How they fit into the wider cast

GamesRadar's rundown expects the pair to have a lot of interplay with Boobie Ike and Dre'Quan and flags the music arc as potentially one of the game's more prominent subplots. It also notes the shady history hinted at in the bio, and the five-year gap that gives them something to prove. This is analysis of the official material, not a Rockstar statement about missions. The five-year gap is also the only piece of a timeline Rockstar has given any of the Only Raw Records cast, which makes Real Dimez's history slightly more concrete than Dre'Quan's or Boobie's, even without a single confirmed mission attached to it.41

Note the spelling. Rockstar writes the name as Bae-Luxe on the official site; several outlets, including GamesRadar, have written it as Bae-Lux. The official spelling is the one used here.14

A second bio card gives the pair two more lines in their own voice: one about putting all their money into the club and bringing along a friend to make it a pair, wordplay on the group's own name, and a shorter tag about being one hit away from fame. Both reinforce the hustle-first framing Rockstar has built around them from the start.1

Comparison with a real hip-hop duo

HotNewHipHop's coverage of the reveal points to a specific real-world parallel: the Miami duo City Girls, made up of Yung Miami and JT, who built an audience through social media before a guest verse on a 2018 Drake single turned them into stars. Real Dimez follows a near-identical shape in miniature, local buzz and a feature verse with the rapper DWNPLY doing the work that the Drake feature did for City Girls, before a proper label deal with Only Raw Records. Rockstar has not confirmed the comparison, but it lines up closely enough that outlets covering the reveal treated it as the obvious reference point.61

What the Extended Look showed

Real Dimez were essentially absent from the 26-minute Extended Look on August 27, 2026. Fan trackers covering the showcase listed the duo alongside Dre'Quan and Cal Hampton as characters Rockstar still has not properly shown in gameplay, which suggests the music storyline is being held back for later marketing or for the game itself.52

Timeline of appearances

  • May 6, 2025: Real Dimez debut on the Only in Leonida page with Trailer 2, the only characters Rockstar introduced as a pair rather than individually.13
  • August 27, 2026: absent from the Extended Look's gameplay; fan trackers explicitly flag the gap.5
  • Not yet shown: any scene of the duo performing, in the studio, or interacting with Jason or Lucia directly.

Relationships and rivalries

Real Dimez sit one level below Dre'Quan Priest and two below Boobie Ike in the label hierarchy Rockstar has sketched out, signed talent rather than owners. Nothing official links Bae-Luxe or Roxy to Jason, Lucia, or any of the Keys-based characters, which keeps the music plotline self-contained for now, running through Vice City rather than the wider Leonida map the protagonists start out on.1

Community theories

Because Rockstar's radio stations have carried original in-fiction music in every game since the PS2 era, fan discussion widely expects Real Dimez tracks to turn up on a GTA 6 station rather than staying background lore, likely alongside music from DWNPLY and other named-but-unseen artists. That expectation is drawn from series history rather than anything Rockstar has confirmed for this specific game, so it stays a reasonable guess rather than a fact on this page.1

What is still unknown

Rockstar has not named performers for either character, has not said whether their music appears on the in-game radio, and has not explained how Jason and Lucia cross paths with them. DWNPLY has been named but not profiled, so it is unclear whether he is a character you meet or simply a name in the backstory. Nothing has been confirmed about what the trouble of the past five years actually was, or whether Bae-Luxe and Roxy have separate storylines rather than sharing one. It is also unclear whether either woman gets an individual arc once they are signed, or whether Rockstar continues to write them strictly as a pair the way the official bios have so far. Their ages, hometowns and even which of the two writes the group's lyrics remain entirely unstated.1

Not yet confirmed: the performers behind Bae-Luxe and Roxy, whether their tracks appear on GTA 6's radio, and who DWNPLY is beyond a name in their bio.
