Dre'Quan Priest in GTA 6: the Only Raw Records music mogul explained

Dre'Quan Priest is GTA 6's aspiring music mogul behind Only Raw Records. His official bio, his ties to Boobie Ike and Real Dimez, and what is unknown

Dre'Quan Priest is Grand Theft Auto VI's music-industry storyline in one person. Rockstar introduced him on the official site alongside Trailer 2 on May 6, 2025, with a label name used as his tagline: Only Raw Records.13

What the official site says about him

Rockstar draws a firm line between him and the rest of the criminal cast: Dre'Quan was always more hustler than gangster, and even while he was dealing on the street to cover his costs, the actual goal was getting into music. The bio says he has now signed the Real Dimez, and that with that deal his days booking acts into Boobie Ike's strip club may be behind him as he aims at the wider Vice City scene.1

The same page frames his relationship with Boobie from the other direction. Boobie's bio says the Only Raw Records partnership with Dre'Quan is the venture he is most invested in, and that the two of them need a hit record. So Rockstar has set up a partnership where the older man has the money and the venues and the younger man has the artists and the ambition.1

A second card gives Dre'Quan two more lines that fill in how he actually talks about the business. One treats the dancers at Boobie's club as his informal focus group, judging a track's potential by whether it gets the room moving before he takes it to a DJ. The other is addressed straight to a newly signed act, telling them plainly that they are with the label now. Together they read as a founder who came up watching a room react to music in real time, rather than someone who learned the business from an office.1

Relationships and rivalries

Dre'Quan's confirmed relationships are almost entirely professional. Boobie Ike is his financier and the person he owes his start to, Real Dimez are the act whose success or failure will define whether Only Raw Records works, and nothing in his official bio or the showcase coverage links him to Jason and Lucia beyond the friendly hug a fan write-up describes outside the Jack of Hearts. That makes him one of the more self-contained supporting characters: his story is the label succeeding or failing, not a criminal partnership with the protagonists. It also means his fate is tied more closely to Real Dimez landing a hit than to anything Jason and Lucia do in the main plot.15

How the pieces connect

GamesRadar reads the setup as a subplot with a built-in problem: Dre'Quan came up around Boobie's club, and Boobie looks likely to want a share of whatever success follows, one way or another. It also notes that the Real Dimez signing is what turns Dre'Quan from a club booker into a label operator, which makes the duo's second act and his own career the same story. This is analysis of Rockstar's bios rather than confirmed plot, but it lines up with how Rockstar has structured every other relationship on the Only in Leonida page, as a favor that eventually comes due.41

Timeline of appearances

  • May 6, 2025: introduced on the Only in Leonida page alongside Trailer 2, already positioned as the co-owner of Only Raw Records.13
  • August 27, 2026: makes a brief, unconfirmed cameo outside the Jack of Hearts in community accounts of the Extended Look, with no equivalent mention in mainstream press coverage of the same footage.5
  • Not yet shown: any scene of Dre'Quan actually working with Real Dimez, in the studio, at a show or negotiating with Boobie.

What the Extended Look showed

Dre'Quan barely featured in Rockstar's 26-minute Extended Look on August 27, 2026. A fan dossier of the showcase reports a short moment outside the Jack of Hearts strip club in which he hugs both protagonists, and reads it as a sign that he becomes an ally rather than an obstacle. Other trackers covering the same footage listed him among the characters Rockstar is still holding back. Neither claim comes from Rockstar, so both sit at lower confidence.562

Comparison with the real music scene

The label story around Dre'Quan is not happening in a vacuum. HotNewHipHop's coverage of the Real Dimez reveal points out that the duo's rise, a viral single with a local rapper leading to a proper label deal, closely tracks the real career arc of the Miami duo City Girls, who broke out on social media before a feature on a major Drake single pushed them into the mainstream. Dre'Quan, as the executive chasing that same trajectory for his own act, fits a real and recognisable role in that world: the small, hungry label boss betting everything on one signing paying off.7

What is still unknown

Rockstar has not announced a voice actor, has not said whether Only Raw Records is a business the player can run or invest in, and has not explained how a music-industry plot intersects with Jason and Lucia's robbery-driven storyline. It is also unclear whether the label's search for a hit is a background arc that plays out in radio and cutscenes or a mission strand you actively work on. What Rockstar has established is the shape of the relationships: Boobie above him, the Real Dimez signed under him, and a scene he wants to break into. Whether that arc resolves in success, in Boobie taking a larger cut once the label pays off, or in the duo outgrowing him entirely, is left open by everything published so far. Even his age is unstated, though every bio and every piece of coverage describes him as noticeably younger than Boobie.1

Not yet confirmed: Dre'Quan's voice actor, whether Only Raw Records is playable content, and how his story connects to the protagonists' missions.
