GTA 6 radio stations and soundtrack: every confirmed station, song and podcast

Grand Theft Auto VI finally has named radio stations. On October 8, 2026, Rockstar used a Newswire post to introduce the first six stations of Leonida Radio, together with on-demand podcasts, and called it the largest and most varied radio selection the series has offered¹. That came three weeks after the September 17 announcement of a 34-track official album made with Atlantic Records, which launches alongside the game on November 19². Below is everything Rockstar has confirmed, plus a clear list of what it has not.

The six confirmed GTA 6 radio stations

Every station so far has a defined format and two on-air hosts, who Rockstar credits by their radio names only¹⁴:

• Cocoteo FM: modern Latin music, covering bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaeton. Hosts: El Martillo and La Gata¹.
• Back Country Radio: renegade country for the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn and beyond. Hosts: MW and Delta Dawne, with roving swamp reporter Mud Dog Mike calling in from his Grassrivers airboat¹.
• AfroBank FM: African music from 20th-century classics through amapiano and 3-step. Hosts: Burna and Palmsy¹.
• The Chamber 106.6: metal. Hosts: DJ Kerry and DJ Tom¹.
• Flash FM: pop. Hosts: Robyn and Alex¹.
• Dirty South Classics: regional Southern rap and hip-hop classics. Hosts: Trick and Trina¹.

You can hear a short preview of each station in the Music section of the official site. Every clip alternates host links with three licensed songs, so 18 tracks are confirmed for the radio at this point⁴. Highlights include Bad Bunny's EoO on Cocoteo FM, Loretta Lynn and David Allan Coe on Back Country Radio, Asake on AfroBank FM, Black Sabbath, Pantera and Slayer on The Chamber, and David Banner and DJ Khaled tracks on Dirty South Classics⁴.

Flash FM returns from Vice City

Flash FM is the name veterans will recognize. It was the pop station in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the 1980s-set game Rockstar released on October 27, 2002, where it played the era's chart hits, Michael Jackson's Billie Jean among them⁵⁶. Rockstar now introduces it as a Vice City institution¹⁴. Our reading, not a Rockstar statement: that wording treats the station as one that has stayed on the air in the city for decades.

The revival is not a nostalgia channel. Its preview runs Good Ones by Charli xcx, Electric Feel by MGMT and Midnight Sun (Girls Trip) by Zara Larsson and PinkPantheress, which makes Flash FM a modern pop station⁴. Rockstar has not said whether anything from the 2002 playlist comes back.

Podcasts and listening on foot

Two features are new to Grand Theft Auto. The first is on-demand podcasts, offered next to the regular live stations, and Rockstar describes them as a first for the series¹. The second is that audio is no longer locked to vehicles: Jason and Lucia can pair new in-game headphones or earbuds with their smartphones and keep the radio or a podcast playing while on foot¹.

No podcast titles, hosts or episode counts have been published¹. Hands-on previews from August 2026 also mentioned a setting that replaces licensed music with copyright-safe tracks for streamers, but Rockstar's own posts have not confirmed it¹⁵.

Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album

The official soundtrack is co-produced with Atlantic Records and releases November 19, the same day as the game. It holds 34 original songs and is already open for pre-save on the major streaming services²⁷. Six singles dropped on announcement day²:

• That's It by Yung Lean, featuring Future and Metro Boomin²
• RHYNO by Travis Scott, produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo²
• Sexy Magic by CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy²
• Last Thing You Need by Morgan Wallen²
• Macacoa 2000 by Rauw Alejandro²
• Bright Lights, Big City by Keith Richards²

In October, Cardi B's Don't Chart and Fuerza Regida's Suzuki joined them⁹. Counting the Justice single covered below, the official Music page now lists nine songs from the album⁴.

Vinyl and CD editions are on pre-order. The official album store has three exclusives, a liquid-filled limited vinyl, a splatter vinyl and a CD jewel case, while Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Target, Barnes & Noble, Urban Outfitters, Blood Records and independent stores each carry their own colorways²¹⁷.

Justice, the score and Flower in a Hurricane

Electronic duo Justice composed the original score for GTA VI, which Rockstar confirmed when it released the Launch Trailer on October 15, 2026³. That trailer is cut to Flower in a Hurricane, a new standalone Justice single featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and the song is also part of the album³.

Rockstar says a separate official score album is on the way and that it will explain the game's dynamic score later, but it has not given dates³¹. It has also not said which earlier trailer cues were written by Justice.

Songs already heard in the trailers

Before any station existed, the trailers were the only music evidence. Trailer 1 from December 4, 2023 is carried by Tom Petty's Love Is a Long Road, and Trailer 2 from May 6, 2025 by Hot Together, a 1986 single by The Pointer Sisters whose streams jumped after the video went up^11121310. The 26-minute Extended Look on August 27, 2026 added roughly fourteen more identifiable tracks, from Def Leppard, Depeche Mode and Phil Collins to Kodak Black and Sexyy Red¹⁴¹⁰.

Licensing a song for a trailer is a separate deal from licensing it for the game, and none of those trailer songs is among the 18 radio preview tracks so far¹⁰⁴. Treat them as a signal of taste, not as part of the tracklist.

Music inside the story

Music also drives part of the plot. Rockstar's character profiles connect Boobie Ike and Dre'Quan Priest through their label, Only Raw Records, and say the rap duo Real Dimez signed there years after an early hit with a local rapper called DWNPLY¹⁶. As an inference, not a confirmation, that points to songs credited to fictional artists inside the game, none of which Rockstar has released.

How it compares with GTA V radio

GTA V is the benchmark. Ahead of its 2013 release it was announced with 15 music stations, two talk stations and 240 licensed songs, plus the first original score in the series, by Tangerine Dream and Woody Jackson. It was also the first GTA with a dedicated pop station⁸.

GTA VI has shown six music stations so far. Rockstar says its radio covers formats from Classic Rock to Talk Radio, and neither appears among the six, so more stations are clearly still to be revealed⁴. Podcasts and on-foot listening are both new for the series¹.

What is not confirmed yet

• The total station count. Rockstar points to Classic Rock and Talk Radio formats beyond the first six but gives no number⁴.
• Full station playlists. Only three songs per station have been shown⁴.
• The remaining 25 songs on the 34-track album²⁴.
• Podcast names, hosts and how many episodes there are¹.
• A release date for the official score album³.
• Any way to build your own playlist or import music. Rockstar has not mentioned one.
