Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album announced with Atlantic Records, out November 19

Rockstar Games revealed the first major piece of Grand Theft Auto VI's music on Thursday, September 17, 2026: an official soundtrack album produced together with Atlantic Records¹. Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album contains 34 new songs recorded for the project and is scheduled for November 19, matching the game's own release date¹.

The timing gives the record nine weeks of build-up before release day, and a potentially huge audience: Rockstar says Grand Theft Auto V alone has sold more than 230 million units, with the series close to 475 million, according to Music Business Worldwide³.

Six singles on day one

Rather than wait for launch, Rockstar put six tracks out immediately¹²:

• Yung Lean with Future and Metro Boomin, That's It¹
• Travis Scott, RHYNO, with production from Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo¹
• CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy, Sexy Magic¹
• Morgan Wallen, Last Thing You Need¹
• Rauw Alejandro, Macacoa 2000¹
• Keith Richards, Bright Lights, Big City¹

In six songs the album already moves through rap, Latin pop, country, dance music and rock, in line with Rockstar's pitch of a roster that ignores genre lines¹. VGC noted that the artists involved had posted GTA VI-style illustrations on Instagram before the announcement².

Formats and where to buy

The digital album can be pre-saved on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, Tidal and Amazon Music². Physical versions are up for pre-order too. Atlantic's own store carries three exclusives: a limited vinyl pressed with liquid-filled discs, a splatter vinyl and a CD jewel case¹³. Separate colorways, each with its own design and poster, are sold through Blood Records, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, Urban Outfitters and independent record stores³.

VGC listed UK prices of £10.99 for the two-disc CD, £44.99 for the standard vinyl and £108.99 for the limited edition, which uses two transparent magenta discs filled with blue liquid². Rockstar has not published US prices in its announcement¹.

The Atlantic connection

Atlantic Records belongs to Atlantic Music Group, part of Warner Music Group, Music Business Worldwide reported. In January the group created a president role whose remit explicitly includes soundtracks and gaming partnerships, filled by Kevin Weaver, whose earlier soundtrack work includes Barbie The Album and F1 The Album³. MBW also recalled a 2021 remark by Rockstar founder Sam Houser that music sits at the center of everything the studio makes³.

What the album is not

The album is a collection of original songs, not a full radio tracklist. Only six of the 34 titles were named on announcement day, and Rockstar promised further news on the dynamic score and on what it called the next step for in-game radio¹².

Update: Justice and Flower in a Hurricane (October 15)

The Launch Trailer arrived on October 15, 2026 with a new standalone single from Justice, the duo Rockstar now credits with the game's original score⁵⁶. Flower in a Hurricane features Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and is included on the album, and Rockstar says a separate score album will follow⁵. Cardi B's Don't Chart and Fuerza Regida's Suzuki were released in the same stretch, bringing the count of singles shown on Rockstar's Music page to nine⁷⁴.
