GTA 6 radio stations revealed: six stations, on-demand podcasts and Flash FM

Six weeks before launch, Rockstar lifted the curtain on the Grand Theft Auto VI radio dial. A Newswire post on Thursday, October 8, 2026 named six stations from Leonida Radio with their formats and hosts, confirmed podcasts for the first time in the series, and said players can listen outside their cars¹. Audio previews of all six went live on the same day in the Music section of the official site²⁴.

What Rockstar announced

The lineup spans a wide range of genres¹:

• Cocoteo FM, Latin from bachata to reggaeton, with El Martillo and La Gata¹
• Back Country Radio, outlaw country with MW and Delta Dawne, plus field reports from Mud Dog Mike¹
• AfroBank FM, African music old and new, with Burna and Palmsy¹
• The Chamber 106.6, metal, with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom¹
• Flash FM, pop, with Robyn and Alex¹
• Dirty South Classics, Southern rap and hip-hop, with Trick and Trina¹

Each preview strings together three songs between host segments, which adds up to 18 licensed tracks made public in one go⁴². The post even sketches the characters behind the mic: Mud Dog Mike, Back Country's swamp reporter, is introduced as Delta Dawne's not very secret lover¹. The Chamber's clip, for instance, moves from Black Sabbath to Pantera to Slayer, while Dirty South Classics pulls tracks from David Banner, JT Money and DJ Khaled².

Why it matters

Podcasts change how talk content works in a GTA game. Earlier entries ran talk radio as a continuous station you dropped into, VGC noted, whereas GTA VI adds on-demand episodes, a format Rockstar says the series has never had³¹. The second shift is portability: in-game headphones and earbuds connect to Jason's and Lucia's phones, so the radio or a podcast keeps going after you step out of a car¹.

The return of Flash FM matters for a different reason. Rockstar presents the station as a long-standing Vice City name, a direct line back to the 1980s-set Vice City, where it was the pop station¹⁵. Its new preview, though, is built on recent pop from Charli xcx and Zara Larsson, so the name carries over while the decade does not².

Rockstar also framed the radio as the biggest it has made, covering everything from Classic Rock to Talk Radio¹². Neither of those two formats is among the first six, which tells you plainly that this is a partial list.

What was left out

Rockstar named no podcast shows and published no full playlists¹. It also credits the hosts only by on-air names. Destructoid flagged Reddit speculation linking two of The Chamber's hosts to real metal musicians, and other outlets have offered similar guesses, but Rockstar has not confirmed any of them⁵.

What comes next

The post promised more on the dynamic score and more singles from the official album, which Rockstar first announced in September with 34 original tracks¹⁶. One week later the Launch Trailer named Justice as the score composers and said a dedicated score album is coming⁷. With the game due November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, expect the remaining stations and podcast details to surface in the final weeks before release, or on launch day itself⁷.
