GTA 6 launch trailer is out: Justice single, PS5 footage, November 19 holds

Grand Theft Auto VI now has a launch trailer. Rockstar published it on October 15, 2026 through a Newswire article, its YouTube channel and a new page on the game's official site, about five weeks ahead of release.¹²³ According to Kotaku, the studio posted it to X without any warning or teaser first.⁴

What Rockstar confirmed

The date has not moved. Rockstar's post repeats that the game launches November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and it mentions no other platform.¹ The story blurb attached to the trailer is consistent with what came before: Jason and Lucia, a supposedly easy score that collapses, and a conspiracy spread across Leonida that leaves them depending on each other to survive.¹

In the footage itself, the most discussed additions are Jason talking about how his time in the army ended badly, and an intimate shower scene that Kotaku says the series has never shown this openly before.⁴ Ynet's verdict is that the roughly 90-second video brings little new on mechanics and leans on atmosphere and the two leads instead. It also repeats Rockstar's line that everything was captured in-game on a PlayStation 5.¹⁰

Justice named as composers, capping a month of music news

For music fans the bigger story is the credit. Rockstar confirmed that Justice, the French electronic duo, wrote the original score for Grand Theft Auto VI, and the trailer premieres their new single Flower in a Hurricane with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.¹ Consequence reports that music by the duo had already been used in the August Extended Look and in the cover art reveal.⁵

It is also a reunion. Stereogum notes that Kevin Parker of Tame Impala had already teamed up with Justice on One Night/All Night and on Neverender, the Grammy winner from their 2024 record Hyperdrama.⁶

The single caps four weeks of music news. On September 17 Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a 34-track soundtrack made with Atlantic Records for November 19, and dropped the first six singles, from acts including Yung Lean, Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro and Keith Richards.⁷ On October 8 it followed with details on six in-game radio stations and confirmed on-demand podcasts for the first time in the series.¹¹

Flower in a Hurricane is now on that album, which is open for pre-saves on streaming services and pre-orders on vinyl and CD through gtavi-thealbum.com. Rockstar says details on the official score album are still to come.¹⁷

Where to watch it, and what comes next

The video is on Rockstar Games' YouTube channel and on the Launch Trailer page at rockstargames.com/VI, which also hosts An Extended Look, Trailer 2 and Trailer 1 with their dates and run times.²³ It is age-gated content: the Newswire post lists the ESRB descriptors in full, among them Nudity and Strong Sexual Content.¹

The next fixed date is November 12, 2026, when digital pre-loading opens, one week before launch.⁸ Collider points out that qualifying purchases before November 20 come with the Vintage Vice City Pack.⁹ Rockstar has not said whether more trailers are planned.
