GTA 6 South Park gameplay: Rockstar's new beach footage, explained
A new South Park episode shows unseen GTA 6 gameplay of Jason on a Vice City beach, credited to Rockstar. What the clip shows and what is still unconfirmed
The newest GTA 6 gameplay did not arrive in a trailer or on the Newswire. It turned up in an episode of South Park on October 28, three weeks before launch, in a short scene where Jason ends a beach argument with a bag of dog waste.14 The closing credits name Rockstar as the source of the footage, which is why outlets treat it as real game footage and not an animated gag.23 Here is what the clip shows, what it confirms and what is still unverified.
Where the footage appears
The episode is "Guinea Pig on a Stick", reported as Season 29, Episode 4. It aired on Comedy Central and is available on Paramount+.24 A plot about scarce beef leads the boys to a television, where the game is presented as a confidential look at what is coming in November.123
KeenGamer puts the clip at about 17 seconds, near the end of the episode.2 A community edit that removes the South Park scenes runs about 21 seconds of beach footage, according to DualShockers, so treat the exact length as approximate.3 The show's official X account also shared the scene.3

What the clip shows, beat by beat
- An opening driving shot of Jason and Lucia, which DualShockers identifies as material from Rockstar's Extended Look.36
- A crowded Vice City beach with sunbathers, swimmers, umbrellas and loungers, and boats farther out on the water.3
- A dog relieves itself on the sand and its owner bends down to bag the waste.13
- Jason throws something at the man. DualShockers says it appears to be food, while other reports only call it an object.23
- The man reacts and confronts him, and Jason picks up the bag and hits him in the head with it. DualShockers adds that the bag bursts on impact.123
The third-person camera and the HUD, including the minimap, stay visible during the beach section.3 That is the main reason writers read it as captured gameplay and not a cinematic made for television.35
Why the credit matters
KeenGamer quotes the closing credits as "Grand Theft Auto VI footage courtesy of Rockstar Games, Inc."2 Complex describes the same acknowledgment as a special thanks for supplying the footage.4 The reports differ on the wording but agree on the point: the footage came from Rockstar.234 South Park has built episodes around games before, and VGC points to World of Warcraft, Guitar Hero and Red Dead Redemption 2 as earlier examples.1
The voice presenting the clip is reported to be Tish Hicks, who narrated the official GTA 5 gameplay video in 2013. Complex states this, and DualShockers attributes it to GamesRadar+.34 We list it as reported, because we have not seen it confirmed by Rockstar or the show.
What it adds about gameplay
The detail is small but useful. It shows Jason using ordinary objects in the world as improvised tools in a fight. DualShockers says the throwing mechanic was first described in August, after YouTuber TGG visited Rockstar North, and calls this its first public footage.3 The clip also shows a pedestrian responding to the player in stages: he reacts to being hit, drops the bag and confronts Jason.23 Beyond that, a clip this short and this carefully chosen is marketing. It is not evidence of how often such moments will happen, or how the game responds to them afterward.
What this means for players
Nothing about the game's launch changes. GTA 6 is still dated November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.38 If you want to see the scene in context, the episode is on Paramount+.2 Epicstream reports that the season's next episodes air on November 11 and November 25, the second of those after launch.5 Nothing has been announced about further GTA 6 footage in the show, so we would not assume more is coming. We will update this page if Rockstar says anything about the clip.
