Invetero Coquette D10 in GTA 6: the Corvette in the trailers

The Invetero Coquette D10 is the mid-engined Corvette of GTA 6, spotted in trailer traffic. Its C8 basis, the Coquette family history, and unknowns

Updated September 3, 2026 · 4 min read · 9 sources

The Coquette is Grand Theft Auto's Corvette, and the D10 is the mid-engined one. The Drive spotted a Coquette D10 a couple of cars ahead in the Trailer 2 traffic, and GTABase lists the model as confirmed from the first trailer123.

C7 or C8?

There is a genuine split here. GTABase records the D10 as a Chevrolet Corvette C8, the mid-engined generation, and quotes the in-game marketing line about the newest Coquette finally arriving2. Some trailer breakdowns instead describe a Coquette hardtop in the highway sequence as a C7, the front-engined car4. Both can be true at once if GTA 6 carries more than one Coquette, which the series usually does24.

The Coquette family

Invetero has produced a Coquette in every HD-era GTA, and GTA Online added the Coquette Classic and the Coquette BlackFin alongside the standard car2. The D10 arrived later as the mid-engined successor, which means GTA 6 inherits an unusually deep Corvette line-up before the game has even shipped2.

Where it appears

In Trailer 2 the Coquette is traffic, not a hero car, sitting in a queue of expensive metal in daylight Vice City13. That is a reasonable place for it: the Corvette is aspirational but common in Florida, and GTA 6 seems to be using its traffic density to make that point3. That also means the sighting proves the model exists in the world but says nothing about whether it is purchasable or where you would find one13.

What we do not know

  • How many Coquette variants ship in GTA 6, and whether the Classic and BlackFin return2
  • Whether the trailer car is the D10 or an older front-engined Coquette24
  • Price, stats and customisation. Rockstar has published nothing2
  • Whether a convertible version exists2

Where it appears, scene by scene

The Drive's frame-by-frame of Trailer 2 places a Coquette D10 a couple of cars ahead of the Banshee in the same daylight traffic queue, which is the sighting GTABase cites as its confirmation23. Separately, Jalopnik's breakdown of the August 27, 2026 Extended Look also logs a Corvette in background traffic, but describes it as C7-generation rather than the mid-engined D10, which only adds to the uncertainty about how many real Corvette generations are represented under the Coquette name in GTA 68.

The real car behind it

The real C8 Corvette is the payoff to a project GM tried and shelved repeatedly for six decades. Motor1's history of the car traces the idea back to engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov's 1959 CERV I prototype, and notes the mid-engine layout kept getting killed by corporate management until the C8 finally reached production, revealed in July 2019 and going on sale for the 2020 model year at a starting price under $60,0005. Moving the engine and transaxle behind the driver shifted the V8's mass roughly 7.5 feet rearward, a change that improves weight balance under braking and corner entry compared with every earlier front-engined Corvette5. That is the generational leap GTABase's own copy for the D10 nods to when it calls the car 'the newest Coquette finally arriving,' language borrowed from the in-game marketing2.

Brand history in the GTA series

GTA Wiki describes Invetero as an in-universe manufacturer that has existed since at least the 1950s, based on how its own Coquette Classic model is described, and says the brand has tracked the real Corvette lineage generation for generation ever since, with the GTA IV Coquette reading as a C5 and later versions moving up through the range6. That makes the Coquette one of the more deliberately continuous real-world tributes in the whole vehicle list, closer in spirit to how Bravado tracks Dodge than to brands that borrow design cues more loosely6.

What earlier GTA games did with this model

GTA Online already sells the D10 for $1,510,000 with a community-tested top speed of about 125 mph, sitting well above the standard Coquette and the retro-styled Coquette Classic in that game's pricing structure7. GTA 6 carrying the D10 forward means Rockstar is bringing an already-deep Corvette family, standard, Classic, BlackFin and D10, into a new game before that game has even confirmed which of them will actually be drivable27.

What we expect in GTA 6

Rockstar's general comments about the new theft and customization systems describe expensive, modern cars carrying trackers and needing key-cloning or phone-hacking tools to steal, with mod work split across shops that specialize by style9. A car GTA Online already prices above a million and a half dollars is a reasonable fit for that higher security tier once Rockstar publishes real GTA 6 numbers, though nothing has confirmed the D10's in-game price or security rating specifically79.

Community theories

The live disagreement among trackers is not whether a Corvette-shaped car is in GTA 6, everyone agrees it is, but which generation is on screen in any given clip. GTABase calls the trailer car a D10 and a C8, autoevolution's breakdown reads a separate hardtop as a C7, and The Drive's own frame-by-frame independently backs the D10 reading for the traffic-queue car, which together suggest GTA 6 may simply carry more than one Coquette body style rather than pointing to a single misidentification234. A second thread of speculation looks at price: with the GTA Online D10 already sitting above $1.5 million, some trackers expect Rockstar to slot a cheaper, older-bodied Coquette beneath it in GTA 6's own economy, mirroring how the Landstalker XL sits above the plain Granger elsewhere in the vehicle list, though nothing published so far confirms an in-game price for either7.

Not yet confirmed: which Coquette is which. Community breakdowns disagree on whether the trailer cars are C7 or C8-based, and both readings come from short traffic shots.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Corvette in GTA 6?

Yes, under the Invetero Coquette name. The D10 is the mid-engined C8-style version and has been identified in trailer footage23.

How many Coquettes are in GTA 6?

Unknown. GTA Online carries the standard Coquette, the Classic, the BlackFin and the D10, and breakdowns disagree on which appears in the trailers24.

How much does the Coquette D10 cost in GTA Online?

$1,510,000, with a community-tested top speed of about 125 mph7.

What real Corvette generation is the D10?

GTABase identifies it as a C8, the first mid-engined Corvette, revealed in 201925.

Are there multiple Corvette-style cars in GTA 6?

Possibly. Separate breakdowns describe both a C8-style D10 and a C7-style hardtop Coquette in trailer and Extended Look footage248.
