Grand Theft Auto VI now has a date for its second soundtrack release. In a Newswire post on Thursday, October 29, 2026, Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: Original Score, an album of the game's score by Justice, out December 11 on the major streaming services and on CD and vinyl1. The same post premiered a new single, Pusher, which features the French producer Gesaffelstein1.

What Rockstar announced

  • Composer: Justice, the Grammy-winning French duo of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay1
  • Release date: December 11, 2026, three weeks after the game itself1
  • Length: 30 tracks, plus a set of digital bonus tracks that come with every format1
  • Formats: streaming, CD and vinyl, with a special limited Triple Crystal Clear vinyl among the pre-orders1
  • Included: Flower in a Hurricane feat. Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, the song from the Launch Trailer15
  • New today: Pusher feat. Gesaffelstein, available to stream now, with pre-saves and CD and vinyl pre-orders open1

Rockstar describes the music as an adaptive score. The compositions are tuned to react to the different ways you play in Vice City and the rest of Leonida over the course of Jason and Lucia's story, so the score is meant to follow what you do rather than run on a fixed loop1.

Pusher: the new single

Pusher runs a little over seven minutes4. Consequence describes a first half built on a pounding bassline and siren-like synths that keep climbing and falling, before the track turns toward disco around its midpoint with orchestra hits and a rising string line2. Gesaffelstein is known for a darker, industrial take on electronic music, which KeenGamer points to as a fit for the game's tone4.

The release slipped out a few hours early. KeenGamer reported that Pusher showed up on Spotify for listeners in New Zealand on October 28, which it put down to the time zone difference rather than a leak4. Rockstar has not said where Pusher plays in the game, whether in a mission, a club or elsewhere4.

Two albums, two release dates

It is easy to mix up the two GTA VI records. Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is the 34-track collection of original songs from various artists that Rockstar announced in September with Atlantic Records, and it arrives on November 19 alongside the game6. The Original Score is the separate Justice record, and it follows on December 111.

Rockstar first named Justice as the score composers on October 15, when the Launch Trailer premiered Flower in a Hurricane, and it promised a score album would follow5. In its October radio post it had also promised more news on the dynamic score8. Today's announcement delivers both.

Consequence lists the labels as Because Music, Ed Banger Records and Rockstar Games, with the physical release on two CDs and three LPs and a running time of about three hours2. Complex notes that an Apple Music pre-release listing showed 50 tracks, a figure that does not match Rockstar's count of 30 tracks plus bonus material3. The 30-track figure comes from Rockstar itself, so treat that as the reliable number until the full tracklist appears1.

Why the score matters

Original scores are still fairly new for the series. GTA V in 2013 was the first entry with one, written by Tangerine Dream and Woody Jackson, next to its licensed radio7. With GTA VI, Rockstar is giving a single, well-known act the job and releasing that work as its own album, the same way it is treating the song collection16.

Not yet confirmed: the full tracklist, which scenes or missions use Pusher, and which other guest artists appear on the score. We will update this page when Rockstar publishes more.
